Episode 2: People Power with Ria Thompson-Washington

Ria Thompson-Washington is the National Democracy Manager with Center for Popular Democracy/CPD Action Network Black-Led Affiliates Voting Rights and Democracy program. She works with affiliates to create their voting and election strategies to protect the vote at the polls. Ria lives in the Washington, DC metro area with her wife and two pups. In November, she packed up her family and moved to Georgia to serve as Chief of Staff for the New Georgia Project, in preparation for the hugely consequential Senate Runoff elections coming up in January. Ria joins me to talk about organizing and how to turn a red state blue.
